The Minnesota State Academy for the Blind is more than a school, we are a statewide resource dedicated to supporting students who are blind, visually impaired, or DeafBlind, along with their families, educators, and communities.

For Families
Families are valued partners in every student's educational journey. Through the Parent Portal and other school resources, families can access important information about enrollment, student life, transportation, health services, calendars, handbooks, and family engagement opportunities. Our goal is to keep families informed, connected, and actively involved throughout their child's educational experience.
For Educators
MSAB partners with educators, school districts, and related service providers across Minnesota to ensure students receive accessible, high-quality educational services. We provide statewide outreach, professional development, educational consultation, assistive technology support, and specialized resources that help schools meet the unique needs of students who are blind, visually impaired, or DeafBlind.
For Community Members
Strong community partnerships enrich student learning and create meaningful opportunities for engagement. Community members can learn more about MSAB through school events, community tours, volunteer opportunities, employment, student performances, and other activities that showcase the talents and achievements of our students.
