This program is designed to meet needs of students ages 5-21. The overall program focus is to maintain basic functional skills while integrating home living, self-help, and work skills. Students will maintain individual educational plan goals relating to self-sufficiency and independence, functional academics, pre-academics, and related services such as orientation and mobility, speech, physical and occupational therapy. The program components consist of functional reading, writing, math, technology, modified physical education, music, library, art, social skills, listening skills, home living and vocational skills.
Thematic units involve students in age appropriate learning activities in concept development, Braille readiness skills, music & games, art, cooking, daily living skills and social play.
