Elementary Program
MSAB’s Elementary Program is designed for students 5-12 years of age, who are visually impaired or blind and may have additional disabilities. Programming involves students in developmentally appropriate learning activities and concepts at an individualized level. Elementary programming includes reading, writing, math, science, social studies, physical education, health, art, music, and technology. A mainstreaming partnership with ISD 656 is available for students that have needs to attend a public school. Our classroom content follows the Minnesota State Standards and we have adopted textbooks that follow these standards as well as meet the unique learning styles of students who are blind or visually impaired.
