Mission
The vocational program at MSAB provides students with meaningful opportunities to explore the world of work through direct experiences supported by classroom instruction and seminars aligned with their future goals.
Students explore a variety of careers and are assessed on work behaviors, skills, attitudes, and interests both in the classroom and in real work environments.
Embedded throughout the program are essential transition skills, including:

Program Outcomes
The vocational program is designed to:

Support students and families in beginning the career exploration process

Prepare students to enter the workforce with realistic goals and strong work habits

Build confidence in advocating for accommodations and workplace supports

Introduce adaptive equipment and assistive technology for employment

Develop understanding of disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Collaborate with adult service agencies such as State Services for the Blind (SSB) to support successful post-school transitions
